Icomb is a most attractive and one of the least spoilt of the smaller villages in the North Cotswolds. The village lies in a designated Conservation Area within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and benefits from an abundance of bridle ways and footpaths for horse riding and walking, in and around the village.

Icomb lies about 3 miles south east of the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, which offers adequate facilities for day to day shopping requirements, including large supermarket and a selection of speciality, independent shops and restaurants. The larger centres of Cheltenham and Oxford offer more comprehensive shopping, leisure and cultural facilities, in addition to a selection of first class educational establishments.

There are good communications with London whether by train from Kingham approximately 3 miles away or by car via the A40 and M40.
