‘Having had a brilliant run at Lincoln in the Advanced Intermediate this weekend on Galley Light, Ben is all set for Badminton.’

Both Ben and his fiancée Sarah Parkes are entered for this years Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials. This will be Ben's third time competing at the prestigious Cotswold event whilst it will be a debut for Sarah. Badminton is one of only 6 CCI 4* events in the world. As part of their preparation Ben and Sarah ran some of their top horses at Lincoln this weekend finishing in 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the AI, finishing close behind Kitty King and her Rio Olympics ride Ceylor Lan. Ben has provided us with the details of his principle horses and their plans for the current season which got under way earlier this month and runs through until the end of October

Current Horses for the 2017 Season:

Galley Light (14YO) – Aimed at Badminton in the spring and continue a 4* campaign.

Willows Tipster (13YO) –  Went to USA last season on British Nations Cup team, will at 3* with a 4* as an aim in the autumn.

Drumgooland (10YO) – Ex racehorse aimed at Novice / Intermediate and ROR classes

Crosiere (9YO) – Went to 7YO World Championships also aimed at Blenheim 8/9YO  CIC 3*.

Eduro A Dalriada (8YO) – Compete at 2* with Blenheim 8/9YO  CIC 3* as his end of season aim.

Direct Showman (7YO) – Will be aimed at Intermediates with a CCI 2* as his autumn aim.

Cendora (7YO) – Won best British mare at the Young Horse Championships 2016, will be aimed at Intermediate / CIC 2* this season.

Perkel (6YO) – Competed at Novice last season will be aimed at CCI 1* / Intermediate this season

Lemmy At It (5YO) – Aimed at BE 100 this season and will aim to qualify him for the Burghley Young Horse Championships

Monbeg Rise (4YO) – Aimed at BE 90 and the Burghley Young Horse Championships
