The Burford office was where Sam Butler and his team originally started Butler Sherborn. As the business has grown and evolved, this riverside office by the bridge in the bustling town of Burford, has been part of the landscape for nearly 30 years. With a fresh team in Lettings, and some new faces, we have enjoyed a fantastic year, with some great results for our clients, In the second half of the year we saw an increase overall of 60% in sales transactions. Elizabeth D’Allemagne says “Living between our Stow and Burford offices, I have enjoyed spending more time with our Burford team this year with the help of Olly Symonds.
We had a particularly busy October and November, which was somewhat surprising taking into account the political climate. These popular villages with access to excellent schooling and good communications, have some wonderful houses, which have been bought by a variety of buyers, for whom life has had to go on, and the local market has been especially strong. Buyers will remain cautious, but there will be a sense of relief following the Election result. This will be the start of addressing the uncertainty, and the return of confidence, so we should expect a much more positive market in 2020”.
The Lettings department for Butler Sherborn, which is centralised in the Burford office and which has gone from strength to strength over the last 30 years, has this last year recorded the best results ever, with a 10% increase in properties let based on last year.
