Further expansion of the rural and professional department, residential agency and lettings

Mike Canby has joined Butler Sherborn to head up the rural and professional department’s farm and estate management work, and help further develop the estate management and country house consultancy.  He has extensive estate management experience from working in Dorset and Yorkshire, and has recently moved to the Cotswolds with his wife Ella.

As part of its planned expansion and following several years of growth, the department has also appointed Hennie Hargreaves, a RICS chartered surveyor and registered valuer.

Hennie will work with Mike Canby, Jonathan Malings and Richard Greasby in providing estate management support and professional valuations, along with grant and subsidy advice for farmers.

Richard Greasby, partner and head of the rural and professional department says: “We are delighted to have Mike and Hennie join us.  They will provide greater breadth and depth within our team while helping us expand and maintain the support to our existing, loyal and valuable clients.”

Meanwhile, Georgina Bush has gone on maternity leave.

The Cirencester residential agency team also has some new faces.  James Dunn is a senior negotiator who has worked in the property market for 16 years including eight years for an international firm in London.  He returned to Cirencester with his young family in 2018, and has a wealth of experience in the local Cotswold area.

Chloe Thynne has also joined as a senior negotiator with 14 years property experience, 10 of which have been in prime central London.  Brought up and educated in Wiltshire/Gloucestershire, Chloe knows the area well, and together with her agency experience also has a diploma in architectural interior design.

The third new member is Eliana Pavel who is PA to partner, Sam Butler.
