The Lamb Inn, Crawley

The Lamb Inn is an enchanting, and stylish, country pub just outside Witney, dating back to the 18th Century and run by Sebastian and Lana Snow. The focus is on the highest  quality, locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by a straightforward, but eclectic wine list and cask ales, all delivered with a big welcome.

The pub has a series of very cosy interconnecting rooms with a huge fireplace in the bar, low ceilings, beams and a suntrap of a beautiful beer garden with pizza ovens, bbq and an outdoor bar.

Sebastian and Lana Snow, longstanding Cotswolds publicans, reopened the doors to the 18th century Inn in April 2019 after a comprehensive refurbishment in their imitable shabby chic Cotswold style. Joined also by General Manager, Paul Piper, and Head Chef, George Tauchman, both previously with Sebastian and Lana at the Plough at Kelmsott and The Five Alls in Filkins.

The Lamb pub offers an excellent selection of hearty British, classic, comfort food, cooked as it should be, adding a nod to the far east on occasions, together with an imaginative wine list. The list offers a good selection of wines by the glass, and a comprehensive list of wines from the New World, as well as from the more traditional European houses.

The Lamb offers a Bar menu, Children’s menu and an a la carte menu, together with pre dinner nibbles. These menus are mouth watering, from piglets in blankets as nibbles, to devilled kidneys on toast and monkfish scampi on the Bar menu. A la carte has a wonderful starter of warm salad of smoked trout & pig bits with poached egg, and a sweet potato, chickpee & lentil dhal with cardamom rice pomegranate & pumpkin seeds, as a main course, in addition to others of equally tantalising charms.

The Lamb Inn is very popular, as the longstanding reputation of Sebastian and Lana has followed them on their migration across the Cotswolds, so booking is highly recommended, especially as The Lamb is closed on Mondays.

Sebastian and his team are delighted to host parties at The Lamb, and can happily accommodate up to 100 guests, offering superb menus to be agreed. The Christmas menu is already on line, and bookings are being taken.
