Christmas In The Cotswolds

In December, the Cotswolds transforms into a festive wonderland, packed with Christmas events and festivities. Glide across the ice, sip wine at an award winning vineyard, sing along to carols, watch the town lights turn on, browse late-night shopping evenings, get creative at seasonal workshops, enjoy festive storytelling with Giffords Circus, and feel the thrill of Christmas racing at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Cirencester Advent Market & Christmas Light Switch On
29th & 30th November
Cirencester’s Advent Market and Christmas Light Switch-On is pure festive magic. The high street is lined with beautifully dressed shop windows, the Market Place is buzzing, and the whole town comes out to celebrate. It’s the perfect evening to wrap up warm and head out with family and friends.
All day Saturday, live performances keep the Christmas spirit in full swing: local choirs and school groups singing carols, theatre and dance groups putting on festive pieces, and musi-cians filling the town with music. These performances are streamed onto big screens in the Market Place, all set against the stunning backdrop of St John the Baptist Church.
The big moment – the Christmas light switch-on – takes place between 4:00pm and 4:30pm on the Saturday, hosted by the Mayor of Cirencester. The crowd gathers, the countdown begins, and, in a burst of cheers, the lights flick on and the town glows, marking the true start of the Christmas season.

Why Sellers Need To Be Prepared To Sell
January and February are traditionally a time of assessment in the Cotswolds property market. Conversations begin in earnest with market appraisals requested and plans discussed. With spring now underway, the outlook feels more defined, helping confidence to build as the market moves forward. We have been particularly busy with market appraisals in recent weeks; it seems many are firmly in the mindset to move this year and are making a good start by getting ahead with their preparation.
