Market update:
Mortgage rates in the UK are showing cautious signs of easing as we head into the second half of 2025. The Bank of England has trimmed its base rate to 4.25%, down from last year’s peak of 5.25%, and while lenders remain wary, some are beginning to offer two-year fixed deals just under 4%—especially for borrowers with strong equity.
- Forecasts suggesting a gentle downward trend if inflation continues to cool. For landlords and homebuyers alike, this could be a window of opportunity. While we’re not expecting a dramatic drop, analysts predict further base rate cuts by year-end, potentially nudging mortgage rates firmly below 4%
- It’s still a market that rewards preparation and timing—so whether you're refinancing or expanding your portfolio, now’s a great time to review your options.
HUXMOR can arrange finance for various scenarios including:
• Residential mortgages
• Buy-to-let mortgages
• Short-term finance
• Re-financing of existing arrangement
onto more efficient and structured products
• Agricultural finance
YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE - HUXMOR Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA does not regulate some forms of buy-to-let and commercial mortgages.
