Tell us a little more about you?
I was born and raised in Somerset and come from a long line of interior designers, I’m the third generation in my family to work in the industry! After spending 20 years in London, including time working in Paris and New York, I’ve built a broad perspective on interior design that blends classic British craftsmanship with international influences. I now live between Burford and Stow, where my family and I are renovating our second Grade II listed property in the Cotswolds. Outside of work, I’m passionate about yoga and running, they keep me balanced and inspired creatively.
How would you describe your style?
My background has really shaped my approach to design, I have a deep appreciation for timeless architecture and craftsmanship, but I love pairing that with contemporary comfort and understated elegance. I’m inspired equally by the refined warmth of Sims Hilditch and the modern sophistication of Banda Property. We’re not constrained to any one style; we listen carefully to our clients’ briefs and create spaces that reflect their personality and way of living. I’d say my style balances classic detailing with a modern sensibility, always authentic, layered and beautifully liveable.

What is the Home Consultation service?
The Home Consultation Service is a personalised session offered to Butler Sherborn clients in the Cirencester, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold areas. We provide expert guidance on how to enhance the client’s properties potential, whether it might be sellers staging homes preparing for sale or buyers settling into a new home, equipping the client with the necessary tools and ideas to give them to opportunity to undertake the work independently.
What can I expect from the consultation?
We request floor plans and photography of the existing property prior to the session, and we ask for a short questionnaire to be completed to help us prepare for the direction the client would like to go in for the meeting. During the complimentary consultation, either in person or remotely, clients benefit from tailored advice specific to their home and lifestyle. To give an idea, this may include general arrangement ideas to improve flow and functionality, room layout suggestions that maximise space and comfort, or design concepts to enhance both aesthetic appeal and long- term property value. We also provide expert insight into home styling and organisation, light orientation and paint and colour consultancy to bring harmony and personality to each space. Every client and property is unique, so our aim is to provide a truly bespoke service!
Is the consultation suitable for both buyers and sellers?
Yes! For sellers, it’s a chance to understand what improvements can help showcase their property and attract buyers. For buyers, it’s an opportunity to explore how to make their new home truly their own.
Will clients receive a written summary or plan after the consultation?Following the consultation, Studio Chappell will provide a concise summary of key recommendations and ideas, giving you the confidence and direction to carry out improvements independently. It’s surprising how much can be squeezed into an hour!
What happens if I’d like more help after the consultation?
Clients who wish to take their project further can access Studio Chappell’s full range of interior design services at an exclusive preferential rate, priority over availability and access to our wider range of services and trade discounts ensuring continuity and expert support from concept to completion. We offer a full breadth of services including interior architecture, interior design, bespoke furniture sourcing, kitchen and bathroom design, material and finishes selection, renovation planning, project coordination and FF&E procurement, ensuring a cohesive and elevated result for every home. January Market Comment
January has seen us firmly up and running across the Cotswolds. Activity has been encouraging, with positive levels of interest and a busy start to the year. We have already agreed a good number of sales across our three offices in a range of different price points, which is a positive indicator of buyer intent following what was a very cautious 2025, with low confidence and many delays.

Three Quintessential Cotswold Cottages – Full of Character & Charm
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, there’s something undeniably romantic about the idea of escaping to a cosy Cotswold cottage. Think honey-coloured stone walls, crackling log fires and soft lamplight spilling across plush sofas - perfect for long conversations, shared glasses of wine and slow, unhurried mornings. In winter, the Cotswolds reveal a quieter kind of beauty, with misty lanes, frosted fields and snug village pubs just a gentle stroll away. It’s a setting steeped in charm and warmth, and utterly quintessential in its British appeal.
