Pub Of The Month - The Woolpack, Slad

Nestled in the Slad Valley, The Woolpack has been celebrated for its unique charm for more than 300 years.
You may have heard of the pub's delights through the poet and writer Laurie Lee, who was celebrated for his acclaimed childhood memoir ‘Cider with Rosie’. Lee was a regular visitor and often referred to the spot with great affection. It still holds the magic & simplicity of an untouched treasure. The quaint pub embraces a fireside tavern, dining room, snug & vine-covered terraces, providing an intimate backdrop for people to come together and enjoy real ales, craft beer, fine ciders, beautiful food & good cheer!

The Woolpack is led by a fantastic team, with head chef Adam Glover, who has been part of the team since 2013. The menu is led by seasonal ingredients, with vegetables and flowers from the kitchen gardens at Lypiatt Park. The menu is concise and celebrates these local ingredients, allowing the quality of these ingredients to do the talking.
