A Quintessential Cotswold Independent School- Beaudesert Park, Westonbirt, Gloucestershire

Beaudesert Park is an independent weekly, flexi-boarding and day school for boys and girls aged three to thirteen, nestled high in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
The school commands magnificent views over the surrounding country, and sits adjacent to Minchinhampton Common, a National Trust protected area, which is home to free-roaming cows and ponies in the summer months.
At it’s heart, Beaudesert is a school that exudes warmth and welcome. It is, and always has been, a caring school. Staff at Beaudesert know what a privilege it is to be entrusted with guiding children through the joy of the prep school years, years during which children grow, change and develop more than at any other time.
Life at Beaudesert is incredibly rich and varied, offering children the chance to find their moments of magic, make memories and friendships for life, and experience an enormous breadth of opportunities, which allow every child to find their passions and strengths.
Pre-prep
The Pre-prep runs from Nursery, which children can join from three years old, through Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The Pre-prep is in a beautiful, self-contained setting, which ensures our youngest children quickly grow their experiences and confidence.
Beaudesert’s youngest children also enjoy specialist teaching in Sport, Music, French, Forest School and Computing, and enjoy activities like ballet, swimming, cookery and yoga right from Nursery.
Prep School
The Prep School curriculum is extremely broad, exciting and challenging, with outstanding facilities on offer from a young age to excite and inspire. Every child will find subjects in which they can thrive and excel.
The children benefit from the outstanding Performing Arts Centre, Art and Design Technology Studio spaces, and fully equipped Science laboratories. Extensive playing fields, courts, astroturf pitches, two swimming pools and indoor sport facilities allow for broad opportunities in team and individual sports.
Boarding
Children in Years 4 to 8 can board on a weekly or flexi basis. Those who choose to board benefit from extra fun, growing independence and confidence, and gain valuable boarding experience for their senior schools. Over 70% of children who can board, do so at least once a week.
Pastoral Care
Every member of staff is passionate about the part they play in caring for children at Beaudesert, and it is from these strong relationships that children can feel confident to branch out, express themselves, and be happy with who they are.
Children are encouraged to spend much of their time outside, enjoying the important business of childhood. Whether in the woods, at the pond or on the rolling banks, learning and play time outdoors are a crucial part of every child’s personal and social development.
Next Steps
As a truly independent prep school, we are able to help parents choose the next step with complete impartiality. Children at Beaudesert move on to over 20 leading senior schools across the UK, many with scholarships and awards under their belts. More than this, Beaudesertians are known for their confidence, courtesy and kindness.

January Market Comment
January has seen us firmly up and running across the Cotswolds. Activity has been encouraging, with positive levels of interest and a busy start to the year. We have already agreed a good number of sales across our three offices in a range of different price points, which is a positive indicator of buyer intent following what was a very cautious 2025, with low confidence and many delays.

Three Quintessential Cotswold Cottages – Full of Character & Charm
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, there’s something undeniably romantic about the idea of escaping to a cosy Cotswold cottage. Think honey-coloured stone walls, crackling log fires and soft lamplight spilling across plush sofas - perfect for long conversations, shared glasses of wine and slow, unhurried mornings. In winter, the Cotswolds reveal a quieter kind of beauty, with misty lanes, frosted fields and snug village pubs just a gentle stroll away. It’s a setting steeped in charm and warmth, and utterly quintessential in its British appeal.
