
Popular local Café Roots + Seeds Expands with New Far Peak, Northleach Location

The acclaimed café restaurant with sister dining hubs at the Old Kennels in Cirencester and Gloucester Food Dock, is opening its third dining hub at Far Peak near Northleach this Friday (27th March).
Roots + Seeds Far Peak will be open daily for coffee and bakes, breakfast, brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea, with everything available to eat-in or grab and go.
For the first time ever, they are also offering a new Taproom experience, showcasing the full range of locally brewed Hawkstone beers and ciders available on tap at the bar. These include Hawkstone’s Premium and Session Lagers, its IPA, Hawkstone’s 0.3% Spa Lager and Hawkstone cider and Hedgerow cider.
Roots + Seeds co-founder, Sam Lawson King, will continue to craft his seasonal cocktails encompassing his homemade shrubs, cordials and mixers using locally foraged ingredients. On offer there is also carefully curated range of local English wines.
The brasserie style menu will also have a range of delicious modern British dishes with European influences using season Cotswold produce. This will include locally reared beef, lamb, pork and poultry by Jesse Smith Family Butchers, game from Cirencester’s Bathurst Estate and its neighbor’s, fresh fish and seafood delivered daily from Brixham in Devon.
Head chef, Russell Brookman, will oversee regular seasonal menu changes with well-considered flavors from innovative breakfast and brunch options. There’s also a ‘Specials Board’ of delicious ‘Field to Fork’ dishes dictated by the seasons and what’s best on the day.
Far Peak is a well-established and thriving adventure and wellness retreat, offering a wide range of activities for all ages. From an outdoor climbing tower and padel tennis courts with expert coaching, to scenic bike trails and bike hire, there’s something for everyone. The site also features a fully equipped gym with personal trainers, a reformer Pilates studio, yoga classes, and a range of wellness treatments including reflexology and chiropractic services. Visitors can also enjoy a hair and nail salon, along with a Finnish barrel sauna and ice baths set on the edge of ancient woodland.
