As we come into the autumn, our competition season is drawing to a close. Our last event of the season is a trip to the south of France this week, where my wife, Sarah, will be competing a little horse called Dassett Cooley Dun at the Pau CCI 4*.
At 15.1 hands, Dassett Cooley Dun is one of, if not, the smallest horses in the world currently competing at 4*, the highest level in eventing. Most of our competition horses will now have a holiday for 6 to 8 weeks, however the yard remain busy through the winter, with the hunters coming. On reflection, we have had a very positive 2018 season, with an exciting line up of 4 year olds... more
